Apple Toffee Dip

You know those recipes that should come with a warning? This is one of them.

What would the warning say? Oh, I don't know, maybe "Warning: this could easily be consumed by one individual" or "Warning: Highly addictive. You won't be able to walk away from the bowl."  Well, honestly, whatever the warning would say, I'd totally ignore it away.

This dip is insane. It's incredible. It's addictive (as stated above) AND....its incredibly easy to make. I first had it years ago at my BFF's bachlorette party. While everyone was having fun and playing games, I was under the table with the bowl of dip and a spoon. (okay, maybe that was made up, but I totally thought about doing it).

Even though it's made for dipping apples, it's stupidly incredible for dipping other things in too, like pretzels, grapes (sounds crazy, but I've done it), a spoon, your face. It's that good.

Quick note: I like to make mine with dark brown sugar. I've made it before with light brown sugar, but for some odd reason, I didn't like it as much. However, it's totally your preference. Also, I think it is best chilled, so I would refrigerate it for an hour or so before serving. Again, just personal preference.

Apple Toffee Dip
Recipe found on Taste of Home website

1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package toffee bits (I think it was a 10 oz. bag)

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugars and the vanilla extract until well combined. Fold in the toffee bits. Serve with the apples. Refrigerate any leftovers (yeah, like you're gonna have any. Ha!)
